We understand that receiving a bill for legal costs can be a source of concern. Therefore, we provide transparent cost information at the outset of every matter, along with regular updates whenever a matter is not undertaken on a fixed-fee basis.

The majority of our services are offered on a fixed-fee basis. The estimates set out here are intended to provide a range of likely fees for standard applications and are for reference purposes only. Every case is unique, and costs will vary depending on the complexity and urgency of the matter. Once we have gathered further information about your personal circumstances and the exact nature of the assistance you require, we will be able to provide a more accurate fee estimate or agree upon a fixed fee with you.

We offer a complimentary 30-minute initial consultation, and you are under no obligation to instruct us following this session. Any subsequent consultation sessions will be charged at an hourly rate plus VAT, depending on the seniority of the fee earner assisting you.

If you accept our estimate and decide to instruct us, you will be asked to sign an engagement letter that clearly sets out the agreed fees and to pay an initial deposit to establish a retainer. Before we submit your application (for straightforward matters) or conclude your case, you will be required to pay the remaining balance. If your case is ongoing, you will be issued interim bills to pay towards your agreed costs.

Please note that disbursements are not included in our fee estimates unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
